Steps to Enable Wi-Fi Calling on iPhone:
- Open the Settings App:
- From your home screen, tap on the Settings icon.
- Go to Phone Settings:
- Scroll down and tap on Phone.
- Enable Wi-Fi Calling:
- Tap on Wi-Fi Calling.
- Toggle the switch next to Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone to turn it on.
- Confirm:
- A pop-up may appear asking you to confirm that you understand Wi-Fi Calling may impact your emergency services calls (911 in the U.S.).
- Tap Enable to confirm.
- Enter Emergency Address:
- You may be asked to provide or confirm your address for emergency services (since Wi-Fi calls may not always provide accurate location information to emergency services).
- Wi-Fi Calling Enabled:
- Once enabled, your phone will automatically switch to Wi-Fi calling when cellular service is weak, as long as you're connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Additional Notes:
- You need a strong Wi-Fi connection for Wi-Fi calling to work effectively.
- Not all carriers support Wi-Fi calling, so make sure Verizon has this feature enabled for your account.
- Once enabled, you should see "Wi-Fi" next to your carrier’s name in the status bar when you are connected to Wi-Fi and using Wi-Fi Calling.
