Sugar Connect in New Outlook

This article is for users that have switched to the "New Outlook' introduced in Windows 10, and required in Windows 11 as the legacy version is no longer supported. If you are using the old Outlook, then please refer to the previous KB articles for the instructions for that version.

  1. Adding Sugar Connect
    1. On the left side bar select the "More Apps" Button (A square with several smaller shapes inside it), and then select the "Add apps" button.
    2. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)In the search box enter Sugar, and then select the Sugar Connect App

      1. Note: The screen shot below shows "Open" instead of "Add" when the app is already installed.

  2. Opening Sugar Connect Sidebar
    1. After opening an email, select the apps button in the upper right corner of the email viewing window
    2. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Once the app window is open, select Sugar Connect from the list of options. This will open a small dropdown of options. From here you can either select "Quick Archive to Sugar" or "Archive with Options" to sync the email into Sugar. Then repeat the previous step for each email you wish to sync into Sugar.
    3. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Select "Sugar Connect" from the above screen shot to open the Sugar Connect Side Bar. The sidebar can be pinned with the pin button at the top of the sidebar to keep Sugar Connect open.
    4. The rest of the features/options of Sugar Connect and it's functionality remain unchanged. Further steps on how to utilize the add in can be found in those Knowledge Base articles.
