Enable Wi-Fi Calling on iPhone

Steps to Enable Wi-Fi Calling on iPhone:

  1. Open the Settings App:
    • From your home screen, tap on the Settings icon.
  2. Go to Phone Settings:
    • Scroll down and tap on Phone.
  3. Enable Wi-Fi Calling:
    • Tap on Wi-Fi Calling.
    • Toggle the switch next to Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone to turn it on.
  4. Confirm:
    • A pop-up may appear asking you to confirm that you understand Wi-Fi Calling may impact your emergency services calls (911 in the U.S.).
    • Tap Enable to confirm.
  5. Enter Emergency Address:
    • You may be asked to provide or confirm your address for emergency services (since Wi-Fi calls may not always provide accurate location information to emergency services).
  6. Wi-Fi Calling Enabled:
    • Once enabled, your phone will automatically switch to Wi-Fi calling when cellular service is weak, as long as you're connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Additional Notes:

  • You need a strong Wi-Fi connection for Wi-Fi calling to work effectively.
  • Not all carriers support Wi-Fi calling, so make sure Verizon has this feature enabled for your account.
  • Once enabled, you should see "Wi-Fi" next to your carrier’s name in the status bar when you are connected to Wi-Fi and using Wi-Fi Calling.
